It happens. Subjective admissions processes can’t be perfectly fair. I think i would have been a great froco, but there were many other people in my college who would be too, and they got it over me.
It might help to consider that Yale admissions are pretty subjective too, and you got in over about 20,000 people who didn’t. That is… you won a bigger prize than being a froco just by getting in.
You may not be a fro-co but I’m sure your still an amazing, supportive person to your friends and family. In the long run, having that quality is way more important that being a fro-co.
I don’t think that’s necessarily true at all, especially considering that they’re posting an FML about it. There are a lot of self-righteous jerks who apply to be Frocos, and some of them definitely don’t deserve the position.
Dean Tauss made some really weird choices. I only thought that half of the people chosen actually deserved it and would make good frocos. The rest probably applied for the money.
No, I believe Anonymous. I’m a Branford senior who did not apply for froco last year, but I remember being all “WTF?” when I saw the list. The people I thought were most qualified for the job weren’t on it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same case this year. Dean Tauss is a sucky ass dean and it’s a good thing he’s being fired.
Maybe so, but there were two girls in particular that Tauss def shouldn’t have picked over some of the other people who applied. I’m glad you’re happy, but you also don’t know who you’re missing out on.
Also, they do a good job despite him, not because of him. Talk to any of them…they all hate him.

My dean made odd froco choices. I’m not really sure i would have wanted to be a froco with that group…

You are so right. I’m glad I don’t have to deal with him during my senior year!!
